High Commissioner of Pakistan to UK, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, who is also the Honorary President of Pakistan Society, attended the 69th Annual Dinner of Pakistan Society at London. The event also commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Commonwealth. The Rt. Hon. Baroness Scotland of Asthal KC, Secretary General of the Commonwealth; Chairman, Executive Members, office bearers of Pakistan Society and a large number of distinguished friends of Pakistan in UK attended the event. The High Commissioner in his address stated that in the wake of unprecedented global challenges - including climate change, global health crises and economic uncertainties, there was a need to further intensify cooperation for the benefit of the people of both nations. While highlighting other areas of mutual interest, Dr. Mohammad Faisal stated that the youth of our nations represent a promising future, one where innovation, creativity and collaboration knew no bounds. By investing in education, promoting cultural exchanges and supporting community initiatives, we can empower the next generation to build a better world. Chairman Pakistan Society, Sir William Blackburne thanked the High Commissioner and Pakistan High Commission for his continued support and maintaining a strong liaison between Pakistan and UK. On the occasion, Pakistan Society Jinnah Medal was conferred upon Rt. Hon. Sir Sajid Javed, Former Chancellor of the Exchequer & Secretary of State for Health and Social Care by the High Commissioner.
