Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met H.E. Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh, on the sidelines of the 80th UNGA session in New York. The two leaders held a warm and cordial meeting where they reviewed the current state of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation in diverse areas, including trade, regional connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges. The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to constructive and forward-looking ties based on mutual respect, trust, and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity in the region. The Chief Adviser appreciated Pakistan’s initiative and highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral trade and cultural linkages.
