Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, during his official two-day visit to Türkiye, held a warm and cordial meeting with the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Prime Minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government and people of Türkiye for their unwavering support to Pakistan during the recent developments in South Asia. The two leaders reviewed progress on the implementation of key decisions taken during the 7th session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC). They reaffirmed their shared resolve to raise bilateral trade to the targeted level of USD 5 billion annually, as agreed earlier. Discussions also focused on key regional and global issues. Both leaders reaffirmed mutual support for each other’s core concerns including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to deepening the multifaceted cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye.
