Pakistan's Sinan Ashfaq bags gold medal at Canadian Taekwondo Championship

This is second win for Pakistan National Taekwondo team player in Canada

Toronto: Pakistani athlete Sinan Ashfaq Ahmed has bagged another gold medal at the BBW Canadian Taekwondo Championship held in Toronto.

Sinan easily beat his opponent Ma Fazhija from Master Myung’s Taekwondo Martial Arts Club in two straight rounds in semi final in under 80kg weight category while he outplayed Yimtatu Noah from Master Kang’s Black Belt Martial Arts Club in Toronto in the final beating him with point gap in two out of three rounds. The event was held on June at the famous Markhan Pan AM Centre in Toronto. 

In Canada, Sinan who studies at Humber College, plays for Black Belt World – Toronto’s most prestigious taekwondo centre run by Grandmaster Tommy Chang. 

Tournaments

Sinan, who was born and brought up in the UAE, represents Pakistan National Day at international events and also plays for Sharjah Sport Club. He has won numerous national and international taekwondo competitions during the last seven years. He had started competing at the age of 12. 

His last big win was gold medal at the prestigious Albania Open Taekwondo G-2 Championship. He also beat Australian player at the Canadian Open Taekwondo Championship early this year.
