Iran, Pakistan Discuss Strengthen Diplomatic Ties
Deputy Foreign Minister Amina Baloch, who traveled to Tehran to participate in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Deputy Foreign Ministers' Meeting, met and held talks with Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi this Monday afternoon. In this meeting, the Foreign Minister, referring to President Pezizkian's efforts to comprehensively promote relations with neighbors, highlighted Pakistan's special position in Iran's foreign policy and relations, and Iran's determination to deepen and develop relations between the two neighboring and Muslim countries. Recalling the common opportunities and challenges facing the two great countries of Iran and Pakistan, Araghchi emphasized the importance of continuing interactions between high-ranking officials of the two countries and continuous consultations at various levels to exploit these opportunities, secure common interests, and confront challenges. The Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan, referring to mutual interests and common concerns, including in the areas of border security, drug trafficking, and illegal immigration, emphasized the country's commitment to further developing Pakistan's relations with Iran and cooperating at the bilateral and regional levels to resolve common challenges and concerns.
