Pakistan condemns Israel's bombing of refugee camp in Rafah, Gaza Strip .
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli shelling that targeted a refugee camp of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Rafah, Gaza Strip. “Pakistan once again demands the immediate and unconditional implementation of the recent decisions of the International Court of Justice, as well as to take the necessary measures to provide full protection of civilians in Gaza, and to hold Israeli forces accountable for the genocide in the Strip,” ministry spokeswoman Momtaz Zahra Baloch said in a statement carried by Radio Pakistan on Tuesday. Baloch described the bombing of the refugee camp as another violation of international humanitarian law by Israeli forces, calling on the UN Security Council to do its part in preventing Israel from launching further attacks against civilians in Rafah. It is noteworthy that approximately 40 people were killed yesterday, Sunday, after an Israeli targeting of a camp for displaced people in northwest Rafah, in an area classified by the Israeli army among the safe areas for displacement.
