The wife of the Iranian Consul General and a group of Iranian women prepared and decorated various Iranian dishes and salads in this festival. At the same time, the people involved in the Pakistan Consumers' Association cooked a variety of local and popular Pakistani dishes.
Iranian women's table with a variety of delicious dishes such as Chelo Kebab Kobideh, Tabrizi Meatballs, Ash, Seasonal Salad, Shirazi Olavieh, Fruit Salad, Fasanjan Stew and Gheeme Stew, Shirazi Cabbage Plow, as well as fruit desserts and colored sweets such as Zard Shelle and Halvai. In this festival, more than 50 types of ready-made food and dessert were prepared and decorated by Iranian women and Pakistani activists. It was evaluated and judged by experts.
During his speech, while congratulating the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Sadiq (AS) on the happy birthday of the Iranian Consul General, referring to the historical, religious, cultural and geographical commonalities of the two neighboring countries, he said: Food customs and traditions and communications of the culinary industry are one of the most important elements in Cultural relations between Iran and Pakistan are considered.
He added: Iranian and Pakistani cuisines have a common feature in the use of spices, rice dishes such as biryani, pilaf and kebabs, and traditional dishes that are often used in celebrations and family gatherings such as tonight's festival.
Noorian stated: Iran and Pakistan also have rich traditions of handicrafts, including carpets, textiles and pottery, and handicrafts reflect their common artistic heritage. Traditional music styles, including qawwali and folk dances, are considered important in both cultures and display the vibrant artistic narratives of the society of the two countries.
The Consul General of Iran in Karachi emphasized the importance of promoting food diplomacy in introducing the customs of countries and exchanging cultures and interests between them and added: In today's world, where cultural exchange and international relations are more important than ever, food is a powerful tool for strengthening Understanding, peace and cooperation work between nations.
He said: Food diplomacy refers to the art of using culinary traditions and shared meals to bridge gaps and create connections. Throughout history, sharing meals has been a universal gesture of goodwill. From state banquets to social gatherings, food transcends language and cultural barriers and allows us to connect on a fundamental level.
In the end, he said: When we sit at a table in a cultural event to enjoy food and another culture, we open our hearts and minds to new perspectives and experiences.
In this program, Sharjeel Maiman , Minister of Information and Transport of Sindh State Government, appeared as a special guest and visited the performance of Iranian and Pakistani chefs in cooking various popular and delicious dishes of the two countries. At the end, the attendees sat at the common and colorful table and ate the food they had prepared together.
The Consuls General of Japan, Oman, Russia, Bangladesh, Turkey, Afghanistan, Indonesia and France also enjoyed the variety of Iranian cuisine by attending the Food and Culinary Art Festival at the Consulate General of Iran.
