HIMALAYAN ALPINE STYLE: THE VIDEO OF CESEN AND LIVINGSTONE AT GASHERBRUM III

CAs Ales Cesen states, “You can train hard, but it’s not enough. You need years of experience or luck to complete this kind of climb.” In August 2024, Cesen and Briton Tom Livingstone attempted the west ridge of Gasherbrum III, a rarely climbed peak at 7,958 meters. After seven days, they reached the summit and spent a night bivouacking at 7,800 meters without a tent. They will receive a Piolet d'Or for this remarkable alpine-style ascent.
