The External Publicity Wing (EP Wing) of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting handlesissues the accreditation of foreign media personnel, including foreign nationals and Pakistani nationals working for foreign media outlets in Pakistan. In this regard a registration portal registration.epwing.gov.pk will be launched soon for the registration and accreditation of all the foreign media houses and their associated staff working for them.

• For Foreign Nationals: Press Accreditation Cards are issued on the basis of valid visas.
• For Pakistani Nationals: Cards are issued after necessary process and recommendation of the EP Wing and Ministry of Interior.

Process:

• Media outlets headquartered abroad must refer and recommend their Pakistan-based staff to the nearest Pakistani Embassy/High Commission/Consulate, providing credentials, job details, and contact information. These cases are assessed in Islamabad.
• For media outlets operating in Pakistan, the Heads or Bureau Chiefs submit cases directly to the EP Wing in Islamabad.
